Introducing... Guy Calaf

We’re so excited to announce the newest addition to our growing roster of lead photographers --

Guy Calaf. Guy’s talent for capturing rare and emotive images as a second shooter caught our attention and we touted him to be the team's newest emerging photographer.

Guy comes to us with amazing credentials in the realm of photojournalism, and is by no means an emerging talent in his field. An award-winning photographer, he has documented conflict in war zones, been embraced by the fashion world for his work for Vanity Fair and Marie Claire, and been lauded by the art community for his fine art photography.

Guy brings to the world of wedding photography a deep interest in human relationships, an ability to see beauty in unexpected places, and a personal warmth that encourages people to feel at ease.

“The personal connection is key to my work. Being honored to document such a beautiful and important moment as a wedding, gives me the drive to produce work that is constructed by the emotional power of the couple. My work goes beyond photography; it is an eternal visual representation of love”.

This evocative scene setter was shot by our very own Glen Allsop at a recent wedding at the Gramercy Park Hotel.

This image of the Chrysler Building was taken from the balcony just as the sun was setting, and captures an intriguing mix of shapes, colours and light.

Glen has used creative framing to focus on the buildings, while the out-of-focus candle holders mimic the shape of the buildings and create visual interest. The contrast of light and focus makes this image so special; the candlelight contrasts with the angular sleekness of the buildings lit by the warm pink-hued sunset.

Meredith and Jules Engagement

It’s a bittersweet day in the studio. Meredith, our Account Manager, good friend and beloved by our clients is finishing up at Christian Oth Studio to get married and begin her new life. She’ll be replaced by Candice, who will join the team from Monday.
However we’re so excited to share Meredith & her beau, Julian in these gorgeous engagement photos recently shot by our very own Sue Kessler. We’re also very excited at the prospect of shooting her June wedding - sure to be an amazing Southern affair!
