I am used to shooting news stories against ten other photographers, so I am spontaneous and attune to finding a different angle from the norm. I am unobtrusive and keen to please.
As a photojournalist, Andrew Kelly is constantly assessing the world for a sense of story—be it protests on Wall Street, rallies for political campaigns or designer shows at New York Fashion Week. “NYFW one of my favorite events to cover because everyone’s really excited. There’s an electric feeling in the air. So it’s really similar to a wedding, in that sense. Everyone looks great and all the details are perfect.” In addition, to shooting for The New York Times, Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Journal, CBS, The Associated Press and Getty Images, Kelly’s photos have appeared in Time Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, The LA Times, The Moscow News, Le Figaro, The Sydney Morning Herald, National Geographic and many more.
