The Creative Process of Wedding Photography

Andrew Kelly

During the next few weeks we’ll be talking about the creative process behind your photography. Think about it this way. If you’re in the process of building a new house and you tell the architect exactly what shape you’d like your house to be, the architect doesn’t have the opportunity to be creative. This is similar with the process behind your photography.

When you hire a photographer, you hire them off their portfolio and already have a sense of their creative direction. A great photographer will always enhance creativity when given the opportunity. The entire essence of a creative includes building, creating or doing something new. This not only fulfills and gives them purpose, but it’s also why they chose to do this professionally in the first place. When it comes to your wedding photography, allow your photographer to explore their creative endeavors. By putting trust in them, you’ll ultimately get the most beautiful images and be the envy of all.

This is part 1 of our 5 part series on the Creative Process. Make sure to tune in on every Tuesday through February to read more.
