Shot Lists for Wedding Photography

As professional photographers, we know what shots you need to take on your wedding day. A good photographer has an internal list of details that are always photographed (think rings, various angles of the dress, centerpieces ect.) in addition to special candid moments that we anticipate. However, if you have personalized or sentimental details please let us know prior to the wedding. For example, if something from your grandmother is sewn into your wedding dress, tell us and we’ll make sure to capture it. Or, let us know if anything out of the ordinary is happening. For example, will you have a gospel choir at the end of the ceremony or a notable performer at the reception? When it comes to performances, preparation will help us capture the right elements from the proper angles.

The most important thing your photographer needs to know is who to photograph during the family portraits. The studio will assist you with the family shot list and help arrange groupings in advance. Preparation will help create a streamlined and efficient process for your wedding day!
